Swipii is a complete, automated marketing suite for independent retailers. Our vision is to become the Salesforce.com of hyperlocal retail. We give the power of systems such as Tesco's Clubcard to local independent businesses.
We place a customer-facing iPad next to the point of sale system at the retailers we work with and craft a unique rewards programme for them to allow their customers to sign-up via a free card or app that can be used across all Swipii locations.

University project at Strathclyde University
Swipii took on two first-year graduates in 2015. Both were initially hired as entry-level account managers, but have since gone on to form the enterprise account management team, responsible for managing relations with several major clients who account for hundreds of thousands of pounds of revenue for the company. They were given the responsibility to create the team from scratch and establish all the relevant processes and playbook. They are now both set to become managers of a new intake of account managers in the coming months.
Despite a lack of experience, our graduates have shown they are capable of approaching tasks from an unbiased viewpoint - rather than simply copying what has been done at a previous job. Processes they have innovated have been adopted by our other account management team - made up of staff that has prior experience in similar roles. Our graduates have also brought a great level of enthusiasm to their roles. From their first day they have been keen to get to grips with what their roles have entailed and learn about both their tasks and the rest of the company. They have been particularly keen to familiarise themselves with different departments within the company.
Our graduates have been given a great deal of responsibility to shape and form their own roles within the business, as well as build a successful enterprise account management team. Their work has led to positive testimonials from clients and referrals which have generated several hundred thousand pounds of new revenue and a significant increase in both end-user numbers and installed locations.
Our flat hierarchical structure has meant that their views and opinions are considered equal to more experienced staff members and has allowed them to excel at their roles. Their work has contributed to Swipii's rapid growth, all based out of their headquarters in Glasgow.
Raising $2.5million investment in May 2016
We hope to continue to grow the business as we have been doing, and over the next year alone we expect to grow our client-base of small businesses by 350%, so in five years, we see Swipii as being the equivalent of salesforce.com in the global hyperlocal market.
