Glasgow City Council is committed to enhancing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by encouraging growth in the city and supporting capacity to grow. 

An exciting new programme of Masterclasses has been developed to help deliver this aspiration, through ERDF (European Regional Development Fund) funding, and are now open to eligible* businesses.  The programme aims to significantly increase the support available and assist with accelerating growth among SMEs.

Our vision is to support SMEs with sustainable growth potential, across the business life cycle, and develop a coordinated growth agenda for Glasgow in line with the city’s Economic Strategy.

Eligibility:

• Business must reside within the Glasgow Boundary
• Can demonstrate a projected increase in turnover over the next three years i.e. £250k over the next three years
• Required to meet with a Business Adviser prior to attending the Masterclasses.

About the ERDF

The European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) aims to strengthen economic and social cohesion in the European Union by correcting imbalances between its regions.

The Scottish Government is the Managing Authority for the ERDF and European Social Fund (ESF) programmes in Scotland. It has overall responsibility for the implementation, management and effectiveness of funds distributed through the programmes.
